Pages for Freedom: Goal Reached!

Thanks to your incredible generosity and support, our Pages for Freedom Initiative has successfully reached its goal of $500!

Your donations have made a significant impact on the disenfranchised and those who lack a voice. With the funds raised, we will be able to buy and deliver books to detention centers and correctional facilities across Maryland. From “Educated” by Tara Westover, “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini, to “The Elements of Style”, your support will guide hundreds of journeys towards growth and learning.

Aside from legal aid books or educational books, these books and literature will also be able to inspire and give hope to the incarcerated as they start a new life outside of prison.

I’ll be looking at the suggested reading list provided to me by correctional facilities and will be selecting the resources that have been shown to provide the most benefit. We look forward to being able to obtain multiple copies of each book in future book drives, however, your generosity means that we will be able to get a lot of great resources, even though this was our first time.

Over the next few weeks, we will be posting regular updates as we order books, package them, and deliver them to detention centers. Check out our website and instagram linked below to keep up to date.

Once again, I want to express my deepest gratitude for believing in our cause and for your invaluable support. Together, we are making a real difference.
